The Princess V62 Sport is the 19-meter sport cruiser with retractable hard-top. Three cabins for six overnight, twelve by day. Twin MAN diesels 1200 HP, top speed 35 knots. Convertible sky-lounge, teak cockpit, hydraulic swim platform. Perfect for Mykonos - Paros day and weekend cruising.
When you have a full day and settled weather, Princess V62 Sport reaches south to Paros and Naxos, the larger neighbours in the heart of the Cyclades. From Tourlos it is a straightforward morning passage, best begun early before the meltemi fills in across the open channel. Naxos rewards the crossing with long sandy beaches at Plaka and Agios Prokopios and the marble Portara gate standing above its harbour.
Paros offers the whitewashed lanes of Naoussa and the sheltered anchorages of its eastern coast, where Princess V62 Sport can lie for a swim and a leisurely lunch aboard. Between the two islands lies the narrow strait of Antiparos, with quiet bays that stay calm when the wider sea is lively. The captain watches the wind closely on this route, since the return leg to Mykonos can turn into a headwind against the afternoon meltemi; timing the day so the crossing home falls before the wind peaks keeps the passage comfortable. It is a rewarding itinerary for a charter that wants more of the Cyclades than Mykonos alone.
Charters aboard Princess V62 Sport depart from Mykonos New Port at Tourlos, just north of the town, with the Old Port used as an alternative pick-up point when conditions or timing call for it. The crew confirms the exact meeting point and time the day before, and both ports are a short taxi ride from the main resorts and beaches.
The season runs from May to October. June and September offer warm seas with lighter crowds and generally gentler wind, while July and August are the hottest and liveliest months but also when the meltemi blows most consistently. May and October are quieter and well suited to relaxed cruising when you are flexible with the itinerary.
The meltemi is the strong north wind of the Aegean summer, and it usually builds through the afternoon. Mornings are the calmest part of the day, so the captain starts early and plans routes to stay in the lee of the islands. On the windiest days the sheltered southern coast and Rhenia's coves stay comfortable, and the captain reads the forecast each morning to choose the best plan.
Yes. Delos and Rhenia sit just across a short channel from Mykonos and are the classic day cruise aboard Princess V62 Sport, easily combined in a single outing. Paros and Naxos are reachable on a full day in settled weather, best begun early to cross before the meltemi builds; for a relaxed pace over several islands a multi-day charter is the better choice.
