Sunrays is the 85.5-meter megayacht by Oceanco, delivered in 2010 and fully refitted in 2025. Her steel hull houses six guest suites accommodating up to twelve guests, supported by a crew of twenty-nine.
Powered by two MTU 16V 595 TE70 diesel engines of 4,680 hp each, she cruises at 16 knots with transatlantic range. Naval architecture by Azure Naval Architects shapes the imposing 85-meter silhouette signed by the Dutch shipyard Oceanco. An ultra-luxury charter benchmark in the Mediterranean, available from EUR 1,150,000 per week.
The classic day aboard Sunrays runs south from Marina Ibiza to Formentera, and it is the crossing most guests ask for first. After a calm morning departure you clear the Port of Eivissa and follow the coast down past Talamanca before the open channel opens toward the sandbanks. The reward is Ses Illetes, a ribbon of white sand and shallow turquoise water that ranks among the finest anchorages in the Mediterranean.
From there Sunrays can drift across to the Espalmador lagoon, where the sheltered sandbank invites a long swim stop and lunch on board. Timing matters: the water is glassy in the morning and the light Poniente breeze usually fills in during the afternoon, so an early start keeps the crossing comfortable both ways. Depending on the season you can add a stop at Cala Saona on the return leg before Sunrays heads back to Ibiza town for the evening.
Charters aboard Sunrays depart from Marina Ibiza in the Port of Eivissa, in the heart of Ibiza town. This central base gives quick access to the southern coast, Formentera and the western calas, and the crew will confirm the exact berth and boarding time before your day begins.
The Ibiza season runs from May to October. Mornings are typically calm and ideal for crossings, with a light Poniente breeze filling in during the afternoon. June and September offer warm water with fewer crowds, while July and August are the liveliest months on the water.
Yes. Formentera, including Ses Illetes and the Espalmador sandbank, is the signature day cruise from Ibiza and is easily reached aboard Sunrays. For a longer charter of several days, Sunrays can also cross the channel toward Mallorca and explore the wider Balearic Islands.
