The Fjord 44 Open is a day-boat of 13.40 meters delivered in 2018, designed by Patrick Banfield for the Fjord shipyard (Hanse Group). Its clean, straight deck line optimises exceptional lounging spaces with forward and aft sun pads and an outdoor galley.
The layout features 2 cabins providing 4 berths overnight, welcoming up to 10 guests during the day. The dedicated crew of 1 ensures attentive service.
Twin Volvo Penta IPS 500 engines, joystick-controlled, reach 25 knots cruising and 40 knots top speed. Ideal cruising programme between the Lerins Islands, Port-Cros and Pampelonne. Embarkation from the Marina Ibiza, subject to availability.
The classic day aboard Fjord 44 Open runs south from Marina Ibiza to Formentera, and it is the crossing most guests ask for first. After a calm morning departure you clear the Port of Eivissa and follow the coast down past Talamanca before the open channel opens toward the sandbanks. The reward is Ses Illetes, a ribbon of white sand and shallow turquoise water that ranks among the finest anchorages in the Mediterranean.
From there Fjord 44 Open can drift across to the Espalmador lagoon, where the sheltered sandbank invites a long swim stop and lunch on board. Timing matters: the water is glassy in the morning and the light Poniente breeze usually fills in during the afternoon, so an early start keeps the crossing comfortable both ways. Depending on the season you can add a stop at Cala Saona on the return leg before Fjord 44 Open heads back to Ibiza town for the evening.
