The builder

Some boats are transport. A Riva is an object of desire.

Riva is the most glamorous name in yachting. Founded in 1842 on the shores of Lake Iseo in Italy, the yard turned the motorboat into a work of art, and its gleaming mahogany runabouts of the 1950s and 60s became the very definition of la dolce vita.

Now part of the Ferretti Group, Riva builds sleek fibreglass and metal motor yachts, from open dayboats to 50-metre superyachts. Each one carries the same unmistakable elegance that once made film stars, royalty and collectors fall in love with the name.

Heritage

The legend of the Aquarama

In the hands of Carlo Riva, the yard created the boats that defined an era: the Aquarama, the Tritone, the Ariston. Built in gleaming mahogany, they were called the 'Ferrari of the sea', the chosen toys of film stars, royalty and industrialists along the Riviera.

That golden age gave Riva something no marketing can buy: an aura of glamour and taste that still surrounds every yacht the yard launches today.
